At Apex Dance Academy, we pride ourselves on offering a unique dance experience right here in Shawnee, KS. Our studio director brings over 25 years of dance experience and 13 years of teaching expertise, ensuring every student gets personalized attention. Our teachers, many of whom danced in college, have a proven track record—several of our students have gone on to dance at the collegiate level, a testament to our commitment to excellence. Whether you’re interested in competitive dance team tryouts or affordable dance lessons for kids, our passionate staff helps every dancer shine.

We offer a wide range of classes—acro, jazz, leaps and turns, lyrical, hip-hop, ballet, and tap—tailored for kids aged 3-18. Our competitive teams train for success, with tryouts coming up in July 2025. Meanwhile, our recreational classes create a fun, family environment where anyone is welcome, from beginners to advanced dancers.

We’re open: Sunday 11 AM – 5 PM, Monday 5-9 PM, Tuesday 5-9 PM, Wednesday 5-9:30 PM, Thursday 5-9 PM, and Sunday 9:30 AM – 5 PM, we are closed Friday and Saturday. Dancers are required to wear appropriate dancewear for the style of class they are taking. Ballet classes dancers should be in a leotard, tights, and ballet shoes. Hip Hop classes dancers are allowed to wear street clothes and shoes. All other styles of dance dancers are to wear form fitted athletic attire with dance shoes.
